Cell Lines

Cell Lines Available from the UK Stem Cell Bank

The UK SCB acts as a repository for human embryonic and other stem cell lines.  Many of these stem cell lines are currently available for use in laboratory research and as starting materials for the development of cellular therapies (see the UKSCB statement of banking and curation). The Bank levies a processing charge for both its stem cell lines (see UKSCB statement of charging) and its other cell products.

Further information on Laboratory Grade cell lines suitable for use in research can be found here.

Cord blood banking

The UK Stem Cell Bank does not collect, process, store or distribute Umbilical Cord Blood either for its own use or on behalf of others.
