Code of Practice for the Use of Human Stem Cell Lines

The Code of Practice for the Use of Human Stem Cell Lines provides guidance on best practice for those working with stem cell lines.  It provides detailed information on how the Steering Committee provides ethical oversight of UK research involving human embryonic stem cells.  The Code should provide confidence and reassurance to professionals and public alike that stem cell research in the UK is conducted within a transparent and ethical framework.  The main emphasis of the Code is on human embryonic stem cell lines, but references to stem cell lines derived from other human tissue are included.
